Yesterday, I slept over at my grandparents’ house (mom’s side).  The main reason I went to my grandparents’ house is because I wanted to go to my grandfather’s hockey game. My grandpa coaches a Junior A hockey team – The Niagara Predators – and he lets me tag along.  We went to Tottenham to play the Tottenham Steam. We drove to Canadian Tire to wait for the bus to come pick us up. We had an option to either take the bus from Canadian Tire or we could drive directly Tottenham, and we chose the bus; we got to Canadian Tire, packed our stuff, and we were on our way to Tottenham!

            I played video games on the bus for about 37 minutes and chatted with my grandfather and the assistant coaches.  When we got there, my grandpa showed me around the arena and recommended I sit behind our net.  I sat there for the first and third periods, while my grandfather was standing on the bench. I like going to these hockey games because I get to watch the hockey games, spend quality time with my grandfather, and I get spoiled!  I had two slices of pizza, one in the 1^st period and one in the 2^nd period; they were delicious! Yum! Yum! I also had a bag of Doritos in the 1^st period and a bag of skittles in the second (I ate the skittles in the 2^nd/3^rd). The game went on like this: in the 1^st period we were up 1-0; in the 2^nd period things went BAD (we had 2 people with a ten minute misconduct (penalty) and 2 people with a regular penaltyL) Thank God we were up 2-1 after that period. In the 3^rd period I had a very nice chat with the bus driver. That’s when things got interesting…we went up 4-2 then they scored 2 goals then we scored 1 goal, so then we were up 5-4. Then they went on a power play for the next 2 minutes. Could the opposing team tie it up with 54 seconds left in the 3^rd period K? NOPE!J! We got the WIN and we won 5-4. We went back on the bus and we didn’t get home till 11:00 at night! It was a great day with my grandfather J!!
