Doug Oggelsby has been involved in hockey for over 30 years.  Played his minor hockey in B.C. and Nova Scotia where in the early 80s he was selected to attend the tryouts of the B.C. Olympic Program. He continued his Junior Hockey in the Ottawa and then decided to get involved in Coaching.  He was one of the first Coaches and General Manager of the Cumberland Grads Jr. A Hockey club in the early 90s.  Doug has coached at most levels of minor hockey both in the USA and Canada.  He has his level 5 USA coaching certification and advanced level in Canada.  Doug has also been involved in mentoring and instructing coaches at different levels of hockey.  Doug believes in the grassroots of hockey meaning skills must be taught at a young age.  For the past 5 years, Doug has been running skill sessions for new and elite players.  Doug is a graduate of the NHL Sports Management Worldwide GM/Scouting and Agency Courses.  Doug has operated Hockey Stepping Stones for the past 5 years in Ottawa mentoring, advising and scouting players and working with several NCAA organizations to help find the right fit for the player.  He recently moved to Peachland, British Columbia and will be carrying on with an Advisory Hockey Business in that location.
